Job Description

Accountabilities:

  • MEH Alliance Point-of-work security function representative, security risk advisor, and security risk management support, within MEH Alliance construction and erection areas at the HPC site.
  • Identification, creation, maintenance, and continuous development of supporting and required security risk management documentation, as well as its successful communication to stakeholders, as directed by the MEH Alliance Security Lead.
  • Support the MEH Alliance Security Lead in performing Continuous assurance activities within MEH Alliance areas to ensure compliance with agreed defined security standards, and tracking all non-conformances or improvement plans to reach required outcomes.
  • Provide support to other MEH Alliance security advisors as required by weight of MEH Alliance scope activities, as directed by the MEH Alliance Security Lead.
  • Support the MEH Alliance Security Lead in providing assessments and mapping of impact and consequence of security risk, against business and operational output required to deliver the MEH Alliance Programme.
  • Support the MEH Alliance Security Lead with delivery, maintenance, and development of security assurances for MEH Alliance Hold-Points, Programme control-gates, and milestone advancement.
  • Support the MEH Alliance Security Lead during incident and crisis management of security incidents, and support with security investigations.
  • Support the MEH Alliance Security Lead during Interfaces with NNB and the ONR on certain aspects of security risk management compliance and assurance.
  • Liaison and engagement with subject matter experts in the wider HPC Security communities to ensure Security assessment keeps pace with developments that could present new Security risks to the MEH Alliance.
  • Actively assist in the development and maintenance of a robust security culture.

Minimum Qualifications/ Experience (as per MEH matrix)

  • The post holder will hold, or be currently working towards, a recognised Level 5 qualification in security risk management domain and have a comparable level of practical experience.
  • Experience in providing security risk management advice to aid to operations in a highly regulated environment.
  • Excellent understanding and practical experience of assessing and advising on security threats actors, and advice on management of their methods of impact, and/or management of impact and consequences.
  • Working knowledge of risk assessment methodologies with experience of identifying, defining, and categorising threat frequency, vulnerabilities, and consequence in relation to security risk.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong documentation writing skills.
  • Emotional and physical resilience - Capable in performing all role requirements within a high-tempo project, and an environmentally exposed, multi-level construction site, with some small and confined spaces.
  • Can achieve and maintain required Security Clearance level (SC)

Additional Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Experience or knowledge in construction activities surrounding mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems would be beneficial.
  • Awareness and comprehension of the ONR Security assessment principles (SyAPs) and Technical Assessment Guides (TAGs)
  • Championing Change & Improvement – Aptitude to harness the vast cognitive diversity within the Project to seek and influence a competitive advantage for security and maintenance of secure status.
  • Communicate with Influence, manage stakeholder relationships, and role model the Way.
