Job Description

The MEH Alliance on Hinkley Point C, is seeking an experienced candidate to fill the challenging role of Site Construction Service Coordination Lead on site at Bridgwater, Somerset.

As part of your role, you will provide and demonstrate a positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project. Ensuring all site activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, and in accordance with the CDM Regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage the interfaces between the MEH partners and subcontractors to ensure project delivery.
  • Lead, manage and motivate the Site Wide Team through implementation of Best Practice.
  • Manage the planning and execution of Site Wide Services on a day-to-day basis.
  • Manage the team to deliver the following services:
  • o Area Management Process
  • o Building Construction Work Pack delivery
  • o Site survey team
  • o Construction issue help desk
  • o Compounds and platforms
  • o Construction Management System
  • o Scaffolding coordination
  • o Temporary Works coordination
  • o Lifting coordination
  • o Painting and Coating coordination
  • o Site Admin coordination
  • o Construction consolidated reporting
  • o Common construction issue management
  • Liaison with all MEH Alliance departments along with the Clients stakeholders on construction matters. Key Deliverables:
  • Promote and maintain health and safety, including site inspections to ensure safety rules are being implemented in support of a positive Nuclear Safety Culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all nuclear safety and site licence requirements
  • Ensure weekly & monthly reports are compiled by Area Leads and Consolidated and produced in a timely manner for upward review
  • Ensure resource to meet organisational requirements are available in line with the delivery schedule.
  • Ensure workstream leads deliver to KPIs (TBA)and where required implement recovery plans
  • Ensure the workstreams deliver on time, budget & quality, and reported as per the HPC requirements.
     
Experience Required
  • Proven track record in nuclear power preferred
  • Experience working on major construction projects
  • Experienced in delivering and operating at a Engineer or Senior Engineer level, including experience working within Joint Ventures
  • Positive, can-do mentality
  • Proven track record of success.
  • Strong leader with collaborative nature
  • Ability to reach sensible compromise position
Qualifications Needed
  • Degree Qualification (or Equivalent)
  • Relevant Professional Accreditation (PM, Construction, Engineering)
  • Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or Higher)
  • CCNSG Safety Passport
  • IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH
