Job Description

As a MEH Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing production of LTQR’s, the application of completions process and the delivery of the EESR related to the work orders. You will also be required to execute work packs and the works information for the area scopes, the work task orders (Scope, Schedule, Cost, Risks) and the construction readiness review (up to T-3). 

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Define and develop MEH Scopes of works for the designated areas, coming from the construction strategy 
  • Lead and Develop the Execution Work Packs and the Works Information for the area scopes 
  • Drive the production and issue the Work Task Orders (including costing with a close relationship with the Commercials) 
  • Manage the readiness phase up to T-3 months 
  • Coordinate with the other MEH Alliance assets, especially EPM on exec design progress & MEH bulk procurement progress  
  • Coordination with the relevant HPC site stakeholders (Construction Delivery Team, …) and MEH Alliance Construction, with an attendance at HPC Site at a frequency appropriate to oversee delivery  
  • Ensure the detailed schedules are developed and that resources are being planned in accordance 
  • Ensure the cost baseline of the works is developed 
  • Ensure the List of Deliverables (LOD) is developed and manage the NNB reviews 
  • Drive the Risk and Opportunities identification associated with the Work orders 
  • Conduct regular work package reviews with Alliance team and any others as may be necessary. 
  • Drive the contract management of the work task orders 
  • Manage any contractual position needed on NCR’s, FCRs and RFIs associated with the Work Orders  
Experience Required
  • Degree and chartered status in an engineering, construction, or other related field. 
  • Knowledge and / or practitioner of Project Management with experience of applying either; APM body of knowledge and OGC's Prince 2. 
  • Track record of delivering projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment whilst ensuring high levels of safety, security and environmental responsibility, ideally within the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated environment. 
  • Demonstrate success in managing / developing : Contract and field execution strategies for project delivery, Multi-discipline EPCM projects, Procurement and management of contracts.
  • Control of costs; risk; schedule and change and proficient in the use of Earned Value tools.
  • Experience of successfully engaging groups of stakeholders. 
  • Able to demonstrate strong management skills including project management, financial management, change management and facilitation. Proficient in the use of estimating scheduling, programming and risk tools. 
  • Experience of managing contractors, consultants and other advisors throughout large and complex construction projects, in a regulated environment.  
  • Good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills. Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks. 
  • Detailed understanding of PWR design and experience in PWR operations advantageous 
  • Good knowledge of CDM Regulations. 
  • Understand how to apply a graded approach to quality.
