Job Description

The MEH Alliance on Hinkley Point C, is seeking an experienced candidate to fill the position of Coatings QC Inspector on site at Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater, Somerset.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting compliance with quality standards and procedures all installation, calibration and testing processes of electrical and instrumentation scope. Recommend methods to improve overall quality and assists in analysing quality concerns. Monitor and assist construction to achieve quality standards.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections in accordance with the ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
  • Liaise with client’s representative for conducting of day to day inspection during the construction activities.
  • Ensure installation of equipment is in compliance with ECS Code, drawings, vendor and code requirements with respect to; material, alignment, etc.
  • Assist QC Manager and Area Leads in executing their responsibilities.
  • Maintaining LTQR’s as required during inspections ensuring all signatures on LTQR and ITP during inspection.
  • Updating SONIM register as required.
  • Champion Foreign Material Exclusion, preventing ingress or entrapment of non-specified materials, loose items or debris in equipment and /or systems during assembly and testing.
Experience Required
  • Qualifications in an Engineering discipline, ONC / HNC / HND (or equivalent experience).  
  • Minimum 5years in progressively responsible inspection positions.
  • NACE(National Association of Corrosion Engineers) level II, ICorr (Institute of Corrosion ) level II, or BGas British Gas – CSWIP level 2.
  • Major Project Experience
  • Nuclear Experience beneficial
  • Working in Alliance agreement projects
