Job Description

The MEH Alliance on Hinkley Point C, is seeking an experienced candidate to fill new and challenging HR Advisor role on site at Bridgwater, Somerset.

In this role, you will reporting to the HR Manager. The HR Advisor is part of the HRBP Team within the wider HR offering and will work with stakeholders to assist with the supporting of both the white and blue collar workforce during their secondment to the MEH Alliance.  The HR Advisor will manage the HR Administrators who will undertake HR administrative/transactional activities.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • The line management of HR Administration Team
  • Building excellent working relationships with stakeholders to facilitate communication on issues.
  • The management of the PULSE groups, coordinating regular meetings, obtaining feedback and providing updates.
  • Supporting parent companies with the relevant PDR processes.  Monitoring completion rates.
  • Ensuring setting and monitoring of annual objectives.  Reviewing completion rates at the end of each year.
  • Undertaking biannual Talent Management Forums to monitor succession plans and those requiring additional support.
  • Support employee relations issues including: 1 to 1’s, grievances, investigations.
  • Supporting managers with escalating issues including health concerns.
  • Support the MEH HR Manager with the provision of day-to-day advice and guidance to supervisors and managers.
  • The new starter induction process.  Ensuring that white collar workforce feel informed and supported when upon joining the project.  Providing metrics from feedback on the new starter process and monitoring progress.
  • Responsible for the People Portal for the HR BP team.  Ensuring that the content remains up to date and relevant.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the MEH Timesheet Portal.  Ensuring that data is entered accurately and consistently in a timely manner.  Ensuring that updates are administered in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the Annual Leave within Timesheet Portal.  Ensuring accuracy in line with Partner Companies as well as regular reporting.
  • Responsible for Sickness reporting within Timesheet Portal.  
  • Managing sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Additional appropriate ad hoc duties as agreed with line manager
Experience Required
  • CIPD L3 and L5 or equivalent experience and exposure
  • Previous experience of coordinating HR activities
  • Previous experience of HR processes and procedures and the implementation of
  • Competent in using Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Experience of working in the Engineering Construction industry, preferably as part of a Joint Venture
