Job Description

The MEH Alliance on Hinkley Point C, is seeking an experienced candidate to fill the position of QA Engineer on site at Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater, Somerset.

As part of this role, you will assist the QA Area Lead in ensuring that the Project Quality Assurance requirements are understood and implemented and to ensure that Client and statutory requirements are effectively met.

You will also support in activities such as developing standards, incorporating lessons learned / best practices in the quality system, training on quality, audits and quality improvements.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • To maintain the highest degree of professionalism in all dealings related to the Contract.
  • To report on quality metrics for the measurement of performance of the Works.
  • Assist in Audits on Project Activities as per project schedule and ad hoc.
  • Review Life Time Quality Records for compliance.
  • Interact cross-functionally with project team members and management.
  • Maintain CAR / NCR logs, Lesson Learned.
  • Assist QA Area Lead in Contributing to management reports.
  • Champion Foreign Material Exclusion, preventing ingress or entrapment of non-specified materials, loose items or debris in equipment and /or systems during assembly and testing.
Experience Required
  • Qualifications in an Engineering discipline, ONC / HNC / HND (or equivalent experience).  
  • Preferred membership of Chartered Quality Institute and IRAC auditor training.
  • Minimum 3 years in progressively responsible Quality Engineering positions.
  • Major Project Experience
  • Nuclear Experience beneficial
  • Working in Alliance agreement projects
