Drawing on our deep pool of expertise, they co-create innovative solutions with their clients to some of the world’s most complex challenges. And through a range of unique creative processes and skills, Aurecon work to re-imagine, shape and design a better future.

What will you do?

As a Lead Civil Engineer in our Land and Water team in our Tauranga office, you will enjoy working on a variety of projects such as:

  • precinct development from larger community developments as extensions to our major metropolitan areas to small subdivisions
  • infrastructure planning and design for government and non-government clients
  • stormwater and utilities design for major transport projects

These projects will range from initial concept, consenting and detailed design, and construction phases of these projects. Your diverse background and strength in design means you’ll be comfortable providing technical expertise to a range of infrastructure projects across the land, civil infrastructure, buildings, and energy & industrial sectors that we operate in.

We know that the work we do is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and it’s the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’:

  • Apply your broad industry experience to solving our clients’ problems
  • Lead the conversion of analyses and preliminary design ideas into developed designs suitable for tender and construction
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders using a range of methods, including written analyses and reports
  • Bring your client -centric focus to deliver outstanding client service, stakeholder engagement, and develop new business
  • Apply your project management and people leadership skills to achieve financial outcomes for Aurecon, and technically sound outcomes for our chosen clients

We know today’s complex challenges can be solved only through bringing together diverse teams of people from across our business, so there will be opportunities for you to apply your skills and creativity to projects in other geographies and markets.

What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You have a thorough understanding of the civil engineering industry in New Zealand and bring an analytical mindset and the ability to innovate and solve problems. You have experience taking leadership roles on project design work and you enjoy engaging with internal stakeholders and clients in a professional manner. You’re a clear communicator and have well developed skill in a variety of civil design software packages. You will be (or be very close to) a Chartered member of Engineering New Zealand and will have an established professional network in the Bay of Plenty region.

Our Aurecon Attributes describe the types of people we bring together and there will be at least one that resonates strongly with you. Because of this, we know each of our team members bring something different to Aurecon. We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to bring ideas to life.

Does that sound like you?
