Job Description

We are looking for carpenters, joiners and cabinetmakers for jobs in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington, Hawkes Bay, Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Some areas require Civil Carpenters (e.g. those that have experience with bridges, roading and heavy construction) these carpenters should be able to work with Concrete and Formwork/Shuttering, steel tying.
  • Some areas require domestic and commercial carpenters – need to have worked ideally on construction sites e.g. new build construction from the ground up, but we can also consider those that come more from a joinery/shopfitting/renovation/cabinet making background (we also have needs for joiners and cabinet makers in some areas)
  • Overall carpenters/Joiners/Cabinetmakers with at least 3 years’ experience and/or a formal qualification are welcome to submit their application to us. Pay rages and locations may be determined based on the applicant’s individual experience. The wider the scope of carpentry/joinery experience the more locations/options for placement available and the higher the pay rate. 
  • Carpenters should have basic experience with 1st and 2nd Fix and ideally Finishing work.
  • Carpenters need to be prepared to do Formwork/Shuttering work even if not done previously (need to be willing to learn).  
     
Experience Required
  • At least 3 years’ experience and preference for a formal carpentry qualification.
  • If no formal qualification, then we will consider how many years the applicant has been working as a carpenter
What is in it for you

Depends on area/location and also experience ($30 - $35 starting contract rate typically) – but we will consider higher rates on a case-by-case basis depending on the applicants’ years of experience/formal qualifications/NZ experience (if any)
