Job Description

We are looking for Supply Chain Managers for various positions across the UK. Our clients specialise in a variety of sectors including nuclear energy, waste, construction, engineering and infrastructure projects.

As part of these roles, you will be responsible for overseeing activities that are related to the each company's products and services, with 3 direct reportig to Purchasing & Stores Manager, Planning Manager and Area Operations Manager/Logistics.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Reviewing and updating supply chain practices in line with company policies, standards, laws and regulations
  • Negotiating terms and prices with suppliers and freight companies, monitoring and assessing their performance and maintaining cost-effective practices
  • Implementing logistic strategies, tracking goods from the origination point to the warehouse 
  • Analysing the supply chain data and solving any issues or putting alternative plans in place
  • Identifying and minimising risk by predicting the demand for products and adopting new technology with no interruption to the process
  • Managing inventory, packing and distributing
  • Following up after accidents and injuries on the floor
  • Developing safety guidelines, teaching and enforcing the protocols
  • Supervising and training employees
Experience Required
  • Experience in presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Background knowledge of working in a similar contract management role
  • Member of CIPS or equivalent professional body
  • 5 years commercial experience at a similar level
  • Experience within a regulated industry
  • Experience of managing a high-performing team
  • Working knowledge of PCR, PPN’s and commercial contracts
