Risk Lead

Our client is one of the leading organisations working and supporting EDF on the Sizewell C nuclear new build project. They are looking for an experienced Risk Lead to manage risk across the site.

You will be responsible for driving an integrated project controls approach into the Delivery Risk function and managing the accountability and data provided to ensure risks are mitigated in a timely and effective manner.

To be considered for this role, you will need to be:

• An individual ideally from a project controls background, possessing both design and site construction experience that has progressed and focussed into the specialism of risk management
• Must have worked within a highly regulated and/or high hazard industry. Nuclear preferable but not essential – O&G, Pharma, PetroChem all considered 
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to network and influence outcomes 
• £500M+ project/programme delivery experience essential 
• Qualified with a recognised project management or controls body e.g. PMI, ACCE, RIBA, APM, IRM
• Familiar and conversant with HMG Green Book, HMG Orange Book, UK Infrastructure Projects Authority Guidance materials, cost estimate development and classification, schedule development and classification, qualitative and quantitative risk management techniques and associated outputs
• Conversant and adept at building risk models in various programmes e.g. PertMaster, @Risk, PrimaveraRisk etc.
• Strong written, technical and presentation skills; capable of distilling complex issues and theories into simple understandable language 
• Assured, resilient self-starter that can flex between detail and strategic issues
• Ideally worked on multiple project phases e.g. detailed design through procurement, manufacture, factory acceptance, MC, Pre-Comm, Comm & Hanover into sustained operations
