Job Description

This company is looking for a Maintenance Service Manager to join their busy team on Teesside.

This role will deliver maintenance management services for all operational areas across the contract. The principle drivers will be to deliver maintenance plans to meet the clients demands on top tier COMAH facilities and develop a team that delivers optimal efficiency and maintains regulatory compliance.

As Maintenance Service Manager, you will support the contract manager and work alongside the planning, commercial and HSEQ teams to deliver approved maintenance plans to a safe and sufficient standard across a number of top tier COMAH facilities. You will also provide a constant focus on delivering a robust operation, while simultaneously driving efficiencies and colleague engagement 

Roles and Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for a multi-discipline team and will act as a point of contact for the client with numerous direct reports
  • Accurately prepare forecasts for workloads and resource and work with other areas of the delivery team to ensure corporate compliance
  • Constantly monitor and propose improvements to meet business requirements, optimising performance 
  • Capability to elaborate maintenance budget plan, organise and maintain minimum critical spares/consumables stock
  • Efficient allocate workload and supervise up to completion, evaluate maintenance team and actively contribute constantly to training and performance improvement
  • Proactively identify and develop key relationships across the business ensuring that all forecasts and resource proposals are deployed with maximum insight 
  • Identify and investigate variance from forecast, identify trends on performance, service delivery and budget to ensure tight control and efficient use of resources
Experience Required
  • Operational experience in leading a team with equivalent experience in maintenance delivery 
  • Multi-discipline experience across MSIP works
  • Degree, HNC in engineering discipline or relevant experience
  • Experience of working with and managing P6 resource loaded schedules
  • Strong communication, both verbal and written 
  • Understanding of engineering principles 
  • Time management and planning 
  • Methodological approach 
  • Strong Problem solving 
  • Highly organised self-starter who can manage priorities to meet deadlines 
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and influencing skills to communicate/interface cross-functionally 
  • Recognised safety qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH
