- Recruit, develop and manage a Health & Safety team.
- Follow the Project HSE Policy, devise, implement and maintain a certified HSE Management System ensuring its adoption throughout the project. Ownership of associated HSE QMS documentation.
- Ensure HSE processes are followed and key behaviours are embedded across the HPC project including inter-departmental liaison both in the UK and internationally.
- Monitor the project’s performance and recommend strategic preventive and corrective actions to the Project Director to ensure set annual targets are met.
- Liaise with NNB Communications Team as necessary to develop, manage and monitor communications plan maintaining a programme of relevant messaging for both the workforce and the wider project team.
- Supporting the project to develop a strong project safety culture that is consistent with recognised nuclear safety culture excellence.
- Senior HSE management experience within a large multi-disciplinary construction engineering project environment.
- Project point of reference/lead on CDM regulations.
- Experience working as a HSE Manager at senior level.
- Knowledge of CDM regulations and experience in EPC project delivery under CDM.
- Knowledge of all phases of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning projects.
- Experience with large high potential risk industrial projects.
- Relevant OH&S and environmental qualifications.
