Job Description
Our client is looking for an experienced Head of HSE to work alongside the Project Director of the pipework & construction works.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Recruit, develop and manage a Health & Safety team.
  • Follow the Project HSE Policy, devise, implement and maintain a certified HSE Management System ensuring its adoption throughout the project. Ownership of associated HSE QMS documentation.
  • Ensure HSE processes are followed and key behaviours are embedded across the HPC project including inter-departmental liaison both in the UK and internationally.
  • Monitor the project’s performance and recommend strategic preventive and corrective actions to the Project Director to ensure set annual targets are met.
  • Liaise with NNB Communications Team as necessary to develop, manage and monitor communications plan maintaining a programme of relevant messaging for both the workforce and the wider project team.
  • Supporting the project to develop a strong project safety culture that is consistent with recognised nuclear safety culture excellence.
  • Senior HSE management experience within a large multi-disciplinary construction engineering project environment.
  • Project point of reference/lead on CDM regulations.
Experience Required
  • Experience working as a HSE Manager at senior level.
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations and experience in EPC project delivery under CDM.
  • Knowledge of all phases of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning projects.
  • Experience with large high potential risk industrial projects.
Qualifications Needed
  • Relevant OH&S and environmental qualifications.
