Job Description

A leading international services contractor with a proven track record in providing integrated, multi-disciplined support services and maintenance solutions to international blue-chip clients, principally in the construction, energy, petrochemical, and utilities sectors.

Key Objectives:
You will be involved in driving forward commercial compliance on all contracts in liaison with the finance and operational teams, providing ad-hoc contract management support and contract expertise to the site contract teams, as required. You will be accountable for the commercial management of the contracts through engagement against set terms and conditions, to sub-contract agreement. Overall, you will provide high quality value-added analysis to support the commercial decision-making processes on the contracts.

Main Activities:

  • Ensuring contract operations teams have the required commercial information to manage their respective contracts
  • Regular commercial audits of contracts, initiating auction plans and ensuring progress against the plans
  • Liaising with contract management to ensure annual reviews are carried out with the client and any contractual increases are calculated and agreed.
  • Reviewing operations to ensure contract compliance is being adhered to.
  • Involved in business development during tender exercises, reviewing contract terms and conditions, bid pricing etc
  • Provide support to the process of reconciling a large number of existing suppliers across a number of service streams, through tender and negotiation of terms
  • Provide guidance and support to the commercial, finance and procurement teams
  • Provide ad-hoc commercial & contract support to contract operational team as required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in an area/regional commercial role within a similar contracting organisation.

Minimum Experience:

  • Professionally qualified you will have a proven track record of the oil & gas and engineering sector with international contract experience.
  • Commercially and contractually astute you will have the gravitas to direct diverse multi site teams and negotiate contractual terms and conditions.
  • Experience in a senior commercial role
  • QS professional qualification or similar level business qualification
  • Experience of managing forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Experience of successfully implementing financial systems, commercial processes and procedures.
  • Experience of managing, coaching and developing teams.
  • Strong customer skills with direct client liaison
  • Demonstrates a determination and desire to succeed.
