Job Description

This company is looking for an Associate Project Manager for a long-term opportunity in the Pharmaceutical industry based at Irvine, working within a project portfolio environment.

As part of this role, you will assist the Project Manager(s) to direct and manage all aspects of individual multi-discipline EPC project from inception through completion. From, Handover, define base line scope, programmes and allowances together with the procedures for management of requests for change to allowance/budgets in advance of Project Execution Plan issue.

You will also manage the preparation and regular update of the Project Schedule(P6) against which all project deliverables are monitored and controlled, initiate and review engineering design, procurement, manufacturing, shipping, sub-contract, project operations and site activity to ensure compliance with project specifications, schedule requirements and Company legal obligations.

As well as review project financial status and manage change control, taking action to mitigate liability for overrun, variations or third party claims and eport progress in compliance with the Project Execution Plan mandates.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Deliver complete Customer satisfaction – client facing
  • Deliver and close out on time, first time to specification and quality
  • Point of contact and liaison/communication between Project team and Client
  • Assist and support Project Managers through the project roadmap process against Millstone deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with the Company’s Quality Policy and Business Operating Procedures recognising specific Customer driven requirements as defined in the Project Execution Plan
  • Communicate to ensure complete awareness of all team and contractor members of interface roles and responsibilities to achieve global project objectives
  • Identify, review and manage project risk avoiding/minimising financial exposure
  • Manage Project Reporting throughout the life cycle of the project on an open, no surprises basis
  • Control of Project Close Out and determination of close out strategy
  • Maintain a proficient, ethical and cooperative approach with Client, Contractors and Team Members
Experience Required
  • HNC/HND in related engineering discipline
  • Client interfacing role and Projects delivery management team aligned with clients
  • Significant and appropriate experience in an electrical, instrument & mechanical engineering pharmaceutical EPC environment with a project portfolio environment.
  • Record in the role of Project Engineer or supporting project role in executing multi-disciplined EPC projects from inception through completion
  • Negotiation and control of external equipment and services suppliers and contractors
  • Record of site management experience of multi-disciplined site construction, plant installation, testing and commissioning of project work
