Job Description

Altrad UK currently has an opportunity for a Setting Out Engineer to join their busy team on Hinkley Point C.

As part of this role, you will be part of the team responsible for the £10million Gamma & Neutron Door Installation contract. Working with a team of 20, you will be reporting direct to the client for work instructions and technical information.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Operating and promoting high standard of health and safety.
  • Carrying out Task Briefings and quality inspections ITP.
  • Levelling using laser and transferring Datum and control points.
  • Ensuring that all materials used, and work performed are as per specifications.
  • Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties.
  • Producing Risk Assessment and Method Statement for directly employed labors.
  • Promoting the company rules, establishing safe working cultures and practices.
  • Complying with environmental compliances, the company procedures, and legal obligations.
  • Main responsibility is setting out using Total station robotic TS16 for setting out.

Experience Required
  • To be able to work in Team
  • Acurately deliver & set out from Engineered Drawings
  • Record and file  records of  all works completed .
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with site workforce, customer’s technical representatives.
  • Always acting in a professional and responsible way to implement successful problem-solving strategies.
Qualifications Needed
  • Degree or diploma in topographic surveying would be prefered
  • At least 5 years experience of topographic surveying on project type working site
  • English French speaking prefered although not essential.
  • Qulification in TS16 Laser equipment.
