Job Description

Nuclear Waste Services has a vacancy for a Senior Engineering Standards Manager to join its busy team, flexible working across the NWS estate.

In this role you will support the Senior Lead Engineering Enablers to ensure the assurance of engineering processes, and engineering supply chain is completed. The role will ensure all relevant standards are applied to Engineering work scope and projects.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Undertake assurance audits in line with the Engineering Audit and Assurance Programme
  • Ensure Engineering Standards are applied to Engineering work scopes and projects
  • Collate industry wide LFE and applicability to the Engineering Team, distribute as appropriate
  • Support any investigations required following incidents/events recorded
  • Statistical reporting of Engineering data
  • Abide by the Company Standards and Expectations
  • Identify and mitigate risks and comply with the company risk management procedures
  • Management of Integrated Management System (IMS) Engineering Processes
  • Plant Modification Proposal support
  • Initial Impact Assessment Process support

Experience Required

Essential

  • Experience managing audit programmes
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Awareness of Nuclear Site Licence and Environmental Permit Requirements
  • Experience of working with, administering, or developing Engineering standards
  • Appropriate Engineering or Technical qualification
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Lead Auditor
  • Process Owner

Desirable

  • Report writing training
  • Microsoft office skills
