Job Description

As a key member of a growing digital team supporting our operations in the UK, Ireland & Nordics your role involves: supporting the implementation of our growing digital toolkit, assisting with the identification and realisation of the benefits afforded through of our digital solutions and helping our operational teams realise their true potential. You will work closely with our operational teams, the wider digital team, Clients and occasionally dedicated implementation teams to ensure our systems inspire our people, simplify what we do, so we can win. 

Primary Function 

Working as part of a team the successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of operational systems across Altrad Services, ensuring their ongoing use and assisting in the identification of actions to enhance performance. You will work closely with multiple operational teams to deploy solutions which challenge traditional operating practices through the digitisation of our operations and help us realise our strategic aim of adopting digital by default. 

You will lead on the stakeholder engagement, project planning, process reengineering and lead on the resolution of project specific challenges ensuring teams become self-sufficient and ultimately handing over to the BAU support functions upon project completion.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Drive excellence though effective and efficient use of systems. 
  • Understand and document business requirements over the short, medium and longer term. 
  • Consult through lesson learned sessions with End Users, Key Users and Process Owners to ensure that functionality and configuration meets evolving business requirements. 
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors to ensure the successful execution of projects. 
  • Develop & deliver training, materials, support, advice to Key Users in order for Users to better their experience within the operational systems suite and improve their data analytics. 
  • To develop and maintain consistent solutions across our approved application suite. 
  • Maintain confidentiality with sensitive data/information. 
  • Support other Digital Analysts and System Leads during intensive phases of key projects.  

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Document the project operating model, principles and process maps that form the basis of the solution requirements for each project. 
  • Agree work processes, solution architecture & configurations to be used on each project. 
  • Oversee development of any systems modifications & testing. 
  • Develop project level Key Users to support implementation and go-live. 
  • Hands on implementation and training of the operational systems suite. 
  • Ensure the ongoing use of operational systems adheres to the target operating model. 
  • Identify opportunities for gross margin &/or service delivery improvement through the application of analytical techniques. 
  • Monitor Support Team service delivery against agreed service level agreements. 
  • Assist and lead where appropriate other performance based projects outside of the digital arena. 
Experience Required
  • Technically-minded individuals with a background in Commercial/Project Control/Improvement roles. 
  • Experience of working within the Engineering/Construction/Industrial Services industry on varying project types & contract styles. 
  • Being knowledgeable of the output and the processes which interact with our Clients’ own work management systems such as SAP, Maximo, and the like. 
  • Highly proficient in all standard MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams). 
  • Confident in the use of data analytics/reporting software (such as PowerBI). 
  • Have an understanding of project programmes (Oracle Primavera, MS Project), being able to review and work towards agreed deadlines. 
  • Understanding of GDPR and good practice of complex data management. 
  • Significant experience of successfully working with a variety of stakeholders and able to communicate complex information simply. 
  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to analyse complex situations and effectively solve problems and drive an excellence culture. 
  • Able to overcome obstacles and challenges to achieve the desired outcome.
