Job Description

We currently have an opportunity for a Scaffold Supervisor to join our site team at UKAEA Culham in Oxfordshire.

As a Environmental Waste Operatives you will need have an understanding of company safety policy. Ensure that the policy is adhered to by all employees under their control. Discuss working methods with the Site team and where necessary consult the company technical/ safety department to determine adequate safe systems of work

You will also, identify and escalate any significant risk to health and safety of employees or third parties who may be affected by the company’s operations 

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Ensure that no employees are exposed to any hazardous substances or environments without suitable and sufficient controls put in place
  • Ensure that nobody under their control carries out a task for which they have not been adequately trained
  • Ensure that operations are carried out to meet the demands of the client, in a cost-effective manner
  • Ensure that all relevant documentation is in place in accordance with work week, project and outage procedures
  • Initiate and participate in pre-job briefs and toolbox talks
  • Assess the pre-job risk assessments carried out by chargehands, to ensure sufficient controls/protections are in place and that potential hazards are eliminated
  • Plan and maintain a good housekeeping regime, ensuring that working areas are in a clean and tidy condition at all times
  • Completes Daily Allocation sheets in line with scope of works
  • Monitoring hours & timesheet completion
  • Inspect workforce at regular intervals during the day, to ensure compliance and high standards
  • Report all accidents and incidents immediately to the Site Manager
  • Provide daily updates to the planner and site manager on progress of all work under their supervision
  • Attend all relevant planning, safety and operational meetings
  • Ensure allocation sheets compliance
Experience Required
  • Must have a valid driving licence and vehicle to commute
  • Must have a valid CCNSG Safety Passport
  • Clearance is required but this can be done on site
  • Must have a proven track record of high level site experience
  • Must be local to site
