Job Description

Assisting in the process of Planning, scheduling and preparation of projects. Monitoring and control throughout the life of the event with reporting progress. Safe System Coordination.

Key Activities:

  • Suitable and sufficient risk assessments are followed and signed onto.
  • Record and report delays to Supervision.
    Accurate recording of any required information

Key Tasks:

  • Responsible to the Site Manager and Planners to assist and facilitate the timely completion of the work packages in line with the contract specifications, safety and environmental plans, quality programmes, quality plans and supporting procedures/instructions.
  • Assisting with organising meetings and providing signed minutes.
  • Assist with the reviewing, monitoring and conducting of regular surveillances of the Consortium Members and their approved sub-contractors.
  • Verify that all documents and quality records are defined, raised and accepted on behalf of the projects and approved where required by the client.
  • Assisting with the Identification and co-ordination of all costs associated with completion of the work packages by the framework contractors in line with the agreed estimates.
  • Assisting with reporting, through regular project Management meetings, the status and progress of the work packages.
  • Receive and review the engineering, process and construction documents, correspondence etc, ensuring correct distribution.
  • Assist with reviewing on behalf of the Project all technical documentation submitted by the Consortium Members.
    Assist/Co-ordination of the work package activities with the building owners ensuring that the overall programme targets are achieved.
  • Assist/Co-ordination of the Lead Engineers/Senior Supervisors to ensure that the appropriate documentation, Work Safety Plans, Method Statements, Quality Plans etc, are in place and approved prior to commencement of the work.
  • Assist in the direction of the Lead Engineers/Senior Supervisors to ensure that all operational activities are adequately supervised and planned to achieve set targets.
    Assisting/Co-ordinating the input from the Planning Engineers, Safety Advisors, Quality Department, Estimating and Administration.
  • Ensuring up to date programmes are available when required.
  • Ensuring forecasts of cost are complete and accurate.

  • Good Communicator

  • Experience of using shutdown planning and scheduling tools.
  • Knowledge/Experience of P3E, Maximus, SAP, PICS
