At Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics, our clients have complex assets situated in some of the most challenging environments including the Nuclear Industry where we provide decommissioning support to major sites including Sellafield. 

Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager to manage the effective and efficient operation of the site on a day-to-day basis through the completion of nominated key tasks and any other duties as required

Key Activities:

  • Safety of people and the environment.
  • Customer Satisfaction is achieved by understanding & exceeding clients’ needs and expectations in order to make their business a success.
  • Scope, Time and Cost are fully understood, communicated, monitored and controlled & when required proactive mitigation is evident.
  • Continuous Improvement tools and techniques are deployed to improve efficiency and effectiveness for both the business the Client
  • Absence management and timekeeping procedures are adhered to.
  • Suitable and sufficient risk assessments are followed and signed onto.
  • Oversight and leadership of Site delivery team
  • Manages potential delays and resource relocation.
  • Accurate recording of any required information
  • Reporting of commercial and delivery targets.
  • Delivery of monthly KPI reports
  • Engage as part of the Senior Management Team.

Key Tasks:

  • Operational - Liaise with the site team and client to ensure programmes of work are carried out to agreed standards (Quality, Safety, Environmental etc)
  • Commercial - Produce all records relating to the day-to-day contract operation in assigned operational area; manage the production of client / Company reports as required. Attend client meetings as required.
  • Administration - Manage all on site systems in assigned operational area.
  • Customer care - Manage liaison with client on all contract matters in assigned operational area; liaise with Site and Regional manager on all business requirements.
  • Management - Manage the training and development of junior staff and direct reports
  • HSE - Maintain safe working environment for self and others.
  • Ensure good standards of housekeeping and efficient use of resources
  • Ensure minimum wastage of resources.

Qualifications Required:

  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • APM
  • CSCS Card
  • SC Clearance (beneficial but not essential)
  • P4 Clearance (beneficial but not essential)

Experience Required:

  • Experience in managing multi disciplined teams
  • Managing People and resource experience
  • Familiar with NEC3
  • CIJC & NAECI Awareness
  • Productivity Reporting
  • Estimating
  • Valuations
  • Contracts and sub-contracts
  • Safety Law (Civil & Criminal)
  • Labour Agreements
  • Industrial Relations Procedures
  • Performance Management and Appraisal
