Job Description

The MEH Alliance on Hinkley Point C, is seeking an experienced candidate to fill the new and challenging role of Operational Delivery Lead for Coatings on site at Bridgwater, Somerset.

As the MEH Coatings Operational Delivery Lead for coatings, you will lead Altrad Services in all aspects of this role within the MEH Alliance whilst working in partnership with members of the Joint Venture and other key stakeholders. 

Your role will also include establishing and maintaining an effective nuclear and industrial safety culture within the business and supply chain appropriate to the scope of works performed.

Main activities to include:

  • Be the principle focus point for all contact with MEHJV partners and the customer.
  • Ensure that the appropriate people and resources are in place to meet objectives and that all personnel understand their role, are competent, suitably qualified and experienced and are appropriately selected, inducted, trained and managed.
  • Anticipate, plan and achieve all delivery targets 
  • Ensure effective systems are in place to monitor performance at all levels including key commercial data.
  • Maintain effective collaboration and co-operation with all JV partners.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the whole project, increasing operational efficiency and maximising profitability.
  • Support commercial and contract administration for Altrad Services within the MEHJV, taking necessary action to improve financial and commercial performance.

Minimum qualifications/experience:

  • Degree Education or equivalent experience
  • Relevant professional accreditation
  • Security clearance (BPSS or higher)
  • CCNSG – Supervising Safety course or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years major project senior leadership experience.
  • Minimum 15 years relevant industry major projects experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering effective operating cultures in highly regulated / safety critical environments (ideally in a nuclear capacity)
  • Detailed working knowledge of project and contract management including NEC3 contracts and their application on major projects.
  • Robust understanding of contract / corporate governance.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications. Understanding of planning software (P6).
