Altrad UK currently has an opportunity for a Material Controller to join their busy team on Hinkley Point C.
As part of this role, you will be part of the team responsible for the £10million Gamma & Neutron Door Installation contract. Working with a team of 20, you will be ordering materials and services from suppliers to fulfil site needs in a timeley and efficient manner
Roles and Responsibilities
- Process order confrimations from suppliers efficiently
- Measuring and reporting supplier performance
- Ensure inbound deliveries are goods receipted in a timeley manner
- Ensure all documents relating to the supply chain process are retained and filed in accordance with the business quality requirements.
- Visit suppliers when necessary
- Liasing and communicating with the Client to gain information from trackers, deliveries etc.
Experience Required
- To be able to work well in a team
- Ability to develop good working relationships with the site workforce, external companies and client representatives
- Always acting in a professional, safe and responsible way to implement sucessful promblem-solvign strategies
- A 'right first time' approach
Qualifications Needed
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction or nuclear sector
- Good knowledge of all material specifications and standards
- Pro-active nature, willing to learn quickly
- Computer Literate, especially MS Excel
- Previous expereince of Procurement Systems (NAV desirable)
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
