Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for a HSEQ Advisor to join our busy Altrad team at SABIC on Teesside.
As HSEQ Advisor you will be responsible for ensuring sites are compliant with AIMS Procedures and legal requirements by undertaking inspections in accordance with Company Procedures and reporting findings to the Regional HSE Manager and Site Management.
This will include advising sites in HSEQ matters affecting their operations. The Site Safety Advisor is a key communication point between the Regional HSE Manager and site operations, maintaining autonomy to give impartial advice and report unbiased facts to the Regional HSE Manager and site management teams.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Proactive and positive EHS culture and recognition
- Effective ‘control of work’ through coaching and intervention
- Promotes Altrad Golden Rules
- Training and competence assurance, including both internal, external and client training initiatives
- Daily advice on EHS to all stakeholders
- Training delivery
- Incident investigation and reports
- Identify safety related innovations and assess suitability
- VFLs, client “talk about care” initiative and site visit schedules
- Participate in and promote company and client safety initiatives and client behavioural safety programme
- Reduce and standardise documentation using Altrad AIMS system
- Implement learning from and share learning with other contracts within the wider business
- Assist in contract improvement plan, both the drafting and implementation of said document
Qualifications Needed
Mandatory Training Requirements:
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- Sound knowledge of HSEQ legislation, industry and best-practice standards and their relevance to the UK Business
- Full Current Driving Licence
Recommend Requirements:
- Prepared to study to NVQ Level 4 Health and Safety Qualification.
Optional Requirements:
- At least one year’s experience of health and safety functions within Industrial Services related industries
- 7300 Teaching Certificate
