The Project Manager – Coatings oversees the full lifecycle of coating-related work packages within a highly regulated, technically complex environment. You will manage contract administration, programme performance, risk, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful delivery of coating activities in line with project objectives, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
This role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams while maintaining rigorous quality and schedule control.
Contract & Commercial Management
- Lead all contract administration activities, supported by a Commercial Manager, including variations, claims, technical queries, and instructions via CEMAR.
- Manage contract changes from scope definition through justification and implementation, ensuring compliance with governance processes.
- Maintain accurate Level 3 schedules aligned with the overall project programme.
Programme & Performance Management
- Monitor progress against milestones, deadlines, and budgets, providing clear reports to stakeholders.
- Identify risks, issues, and non-conformances, driving timely resolution to maintain quality and schedule integrity.
- Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) and other commercial reporting tools to track performance.
- Develop and update programme budgets, escalating concerns to the Senior Project Manager when required.
Operational & Technical Coordination
- Oversee resolution of manufacturing issues to ensure quality standards and delivery timelines are met.
- Coordinate with the HPC site team to ensure all pre‑shipping activities are completed for seamless delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies aligned with the Programme Definition Document (PgDD).
- Interface with other programmes to maintain a holistic view of project progress and adopt best practices.
Stakeholder & Communication Management
- Maintain strong communication channels with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure project strategies are executed effectively within your contract or work package.
- Promote continuous improvement, embedding lessons learned and knowledge capture into routine practice.
