The Maintenance Electrician supports the safe and effective delivery of maintenance activities on site, working as part of a multi‑disciplined craft team. The role includes electrical inspection and testing, contributing to plant reliability, and developing capability through high‑voltage and E&I crossover training. The Maintenance Electrician plays a key part in maintaining plant performance and ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards.
Maintenance Delivery
- Carry out day‑to‑day maintenance activities safely, efficiently, and in line with site procedures.
- Resolve issues related to plant breakdowns and throughput, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Support engineers in implementing plant improvements, modifications, and upgrades.
Safety & Compliance
- Actively promote and support a strong safety culture, working in accordance with RSP 1.15 Electrical Safety Suite of Documents.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with electrical safety standards and site requirements.
- Serve as a Nominated Person (Electrical), NP(e), providing equipment isolations as required.
Plant Reliability & Performance
- Proactively monitor equipment condition to improve plant availability and reliability.
- Undertake inspection, testing, repair, and preventative maintenance activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance.
Teamwork & Collaboration
- Work collaboratively within a multi‑disciplined craft team to support maintenance delivery.
