BOP3 HVAC Engineers play a key role in delivering HVAC scope within the Balance of Plant (BOP) area, providing strong HSE leadership and promoting a compliant, proactive safety culture throughout the construction lifecycle. The role ensures all site activities are carried out safely, responsibly, and in full accordance with CDM Regulations and nuclear safety expectations. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, BOP3 HVAC Engineers help drive safe, timely, and high‑quality delivery of construction activities.
 

Job Responsibilities

Area Management & Delivery

  • Manage a defined area within the Balance of Plant (BOP), ensuring HVAC activities are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support the safe and timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Ensure all required deliverables are produced on time to avoid delays to construction activities.

Technical Oversight & Configuration Control

  • Maintain configuration control across the scope and ensure all Works Information is correctly applied.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable codes, standards, QA/QC requirements, and performance specifications.
  • Raise technical queries where required and track progress to resolution.

Support to Building Leads & Programme Reporting

  • Support BOP Building Leads in delivering the assigned scope and resolving technical or construction issues.
  • Provide weekly progress reports and programme updates, ensuring accurate and timely communication.
  • Conduct productivity reviews and manage labour hours to support efficient delivery.

Construction Improvement & Best Practice

  • Identify and support construction method improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and quality.
  • Promote and reinforce a strong Nuclear Safety Culture across all site activities.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Demonstrate positive HSE leadership and ensure all site activities comply with CDM Regulations and project safety requirements.
  • Actively contribute to maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring all personnel follow safe systems of work.
