Job Description
Altrad UK has an opportunity for a well experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our site team on one of our key contracts, Inovyn, Runcorn, Northwest.
Reporting to the Site Manager & supported by the Regional HSEQ Performance Manager you will be a key point of contact for operational onsite performance, compliance of Altrad’s integrated management system and legal requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Onboarding of new employees during recruitment stage delivering company induction & D&A screening.
- To ensure daily operations are compliant with Altrad integrated management system, Customer policies and legal requirements.
- Support, advise & monitor site working practices.
- Support the development of RAMS in the planning stages of the scope through to execution.
- To provide functional support to the Site Management and Operational Team advising on HSEQ standards on sites.
- Develop and implement HSEQ campaigns for continuous improvement.
- To collaborate with onsite HSEQ team, Operations Team, assessing and responding to site requirements.
- Be visible onsite and engaging with Altrad employees developing a sound safety culture.
- To report any difference between Altrad and client procedures or operational HSEQ matters.
- Support & review risk assessments and method statements ensuring they are established & effective.
- Identify training needs and deliver bespoke Altrad packages.
- Record all actions from audits, inspections and safety tours and monitor progress of implementation.
- Advise and assist in unwanted event investigation alongside the delegated person as required.
- Be instrumental in the continuous HSEQ improvement supporting our customer and associated contracting teams onsite.
Experience Required
- Confident in presenting to a range of audiences such as operatives, managers and customer.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience of HSEQ functions of management role.
- Ideally a background of an industrial multi service provider in Petro chemical industry or similar sector. (A strong scaffold background would be advantageous)
- The role requires you to work a standard 38-hour week, Monday to Friday.
Qualifications Needed
- Minimum NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ OHS Level 5 or equivalent.
