Job Description

The MEH Alliance on Hinkley Point C, is seeking an experienced candidate to fill the new and challenging role of Coatings Planner / Scheduler on site at Bridgwater, Somerset.

As the MEH Coatings Planner / Scheduler, you will produce and maintain live planning and scheduling programs incorporating data to critical to achieving key milestones. You will also interact within construction and planning departments to align rire wrapping and caulking tasks specific planning with overarching Level 3 and Level 4 schedules. 

Other activities to include:

  • Interact with construction to ensure live accurate data is received. 
  • Liaise with procurement and commercial departments to explore and incorporate cost profiles and delivery programs to support schedules and resource planning. 
  • Monitor and report progress & productivity variances against plan. 
  • Monitor and report any variances in material utilization. 
  • Lead and foster a positive Nuclear Safety Culture.

Minimum qualifications/experience

  • Excellent (Advanced) IT Literate skills (Competent) - (predominantly P6 Primavera / MS Office & Adobe Pro etc.), Document control and use of collaborative shared platforms / B.C / TeamCenter, (Viewpoint (4P), Sharepoint and CEMAR)
  • Minimum 5 years project planning experience utilizing bespoke planning programs 
  • Must have experience in major Industrial project planning activities preferably with knowledge of Industrial services delivery. 
  • Experience and knowledge of Coatings and Fire protection specifications. 
  • Proven track record in large scale projects in the nuclear or similar regulated sector
  • Experienced in working in a Joint Venture or Alliance environment preferred
  • Must be methodical and process driven
  • Generates high quality output of documents such as management plans
  • To be innovative by identifying and implementing new ways to do things to achieve better ways of working.
  • Work collaboratively and cooperatively within a large team
  • Following process and achieving readiness; Ability to understand and retain knowledge
  • Experience of working in a heavily regulated and secure environment
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and produce accurate work.
