Job Description

The MEH Alliance on Hinkley Point C, comprising an MEH JV made up of Altrad Services, Balfour Beatty, NG Bailey, Cavendish and Altrad Babcock in alliance with EDF Nuclear New Build (NNB), is seeking experienced candidates to fill new and challenging Configuration Document / Tool Controller role on site at Bridgwater, Somerset.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for providing day to day administrative support to all the configuration teams within the EPM team (Engineer, Procure, Manufacture). 

Roles and Responsibilities
  • COMET update (COMET is current configuration IT Tool)
  • Import of LRR (Layout Release Report)
  • Import of the CTS (Contractor Transfer Sheet)
  • Import of the EDSR (Execution Design Status Report)
  • Update COMET from meeting minutes from Weekly RCE (Reference Configuration Engineer) /EM (Engineering Manager) Configuration Meeting
  • Update COMET from meeting minutes
  • Doc management support
  • Get LRR/CTS/EDSR/Hand over Report from the document control system (Teamcenter) including any news revisions
  • Record minutes in Teamcenter
  • Assisting with collation of data from Configuration Engineer 
  • Controlling configuration documentation
  • Ensuring all documentation meets formal requirements and required standards
  • Production of monthly team reports
  • Create, maintain and produce Configuration Engineer related key performance indicators (Document issuing, Status COMET, etc…)
  • Conducting regular reviews and document audits
  • Ensure documents are shared at key times to facilitate timely project completion
  • Develop and implement effective communications mechanisms between different stakeholders (internal and external).

  • Performs analysis of data highlighting and summarising relevant issues 
  • Degree in engineering (desirable) 
  • Proven work experience as a Document Controller or similar role
  • Familiarity with project management
Qualifications Needed
  • Hands-on experience with MS Office and MS Excel
  • Knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
  • Proficient typing and editing skills
  • Data organization skills
  • Attention to detail
